Dealing with Anxiety and Bullying

Hi everybody! So today I have more of a serious/personal post but I hope this helps some of you. I know Zoe Sugg has done something like this but, I want to incorporate bullying into it as I despise it so much. Carrying on reading if you've ever experienced bullying/know someone who gets bullied or if you think you have anxiety but don't want to get diagnosed/have anxiety.

Anxiety
Anxiety is different for every single person. Some people just worry occasionally and that is normal unless it leads onto a panic attack. Others worry frequently about things that a human being would do everyday. Such as going places, talking, school, exams, work, paying at a shop etc. If you worry about any of these things (but a lot) you may have social anxiety. I know I have this as I suffer all the symptoms and have panic attacks over stupid things. I hate this so so so much. I'm also a very sensitive person so when I panic or worry I tend to cry. I stop breathing properly and breathe quickly until I'm unable to speak. Sometimes I sweat because if the whole situation and that is normal! Anxiety can be mild or severe. I'm in between. If you have panic attacks, your anxiety might be more severe.
AND FINALLY...
DONT WORRY ABOUT PANIC ATTACKS OR ANXIETY! I've gone through hell in the last two years because I've worked myself up so much so that I make myself have a panic attack and I've survived! The longest you can full on panic for is 20mins...NO LONGER!
People may make fun of you: 'cry baby' 'sweaty Betty' 'why does she/he not speak, why is she crying and breathing weird' 'that person is strange and different I think they have issues'
but ignore them!
The important thing to do with anxiety is to stay calm and to not worry. Make sure you have everything you need to ensure that you won't have an attack or start worrying. Don't worry, many people suffer from this and hopefully you will overcome it.

Bullying
I hate bullying with a passion. Cyber, Physical, Verbal, Emotional, they're all horrible things. Just remember to stay positive! If the bully is making your life really miserable, for example you wanting to die, self-harm, starve or not go to school, tell someone! Actually no. If the bully does it three times, tell someone THEN. Never keep it bottled up inside, let it all out!
Cyber Bullying happens on the internet on social networking sites. Facebook, twitter, instagram, tumblr, bbm, snapchat, oovoo, kik and more, all have had some sort of bullying on it. Everyday a person gets bullied on the internet and it must stop! If you're struggling to cope, tell ChildLine, Ceop or many of the other helplines. Trust me, they help!
Physical Bullying is awful. I don't even want to write about this because it brings tears to my eyes. I can't believe people punch, smack, kick and all that just to feel good about themselves. It is absolutely horrendous. Violence is never the answer as my history teacher has told us repeatedly. And it is not! If you bully someone physically because they are different, don't. If everyone was the same the world would be boring. Physical bullying is the same as physical abuse. Oh now it sounds even worse doesn't it? Yeah, think before you do.
Verbal Bullying is a very minipulative version of bullying. You taunt them with words over and over until they break. To be honest, I think I have said enough.
Emotional Bullying. Wow this is not recognised as much but it is just as bad. Constent criticism from fellow peers which make you paranoid and maybe even lead to a mental health issue (anxiety). I hate this bullying too. A person can become depressed because they feel they are not good enough for this world and maybe have thoughts of suicide.

Bullying must be stopped. All I can say to you is that you need to spread the word. If you know of any form of bullying, please contact a helpline, parent or teacher etc...
Say no to bullying.

Thankyou all for reading this. I hope this has helped someone. At least one person. Feedback would be great. Don't forget, I love you and stay strong. I'm always here!

  1. This blogpost was a great help, especially the part about anxiety and panic attacks as I suffer from this myself and I worry about silly things such as germs! Can't wait to see your future blog posts! x
